Anne Hathaway and Dave Bautista will star in an untitled action comedy being called the Wedding Sting. The film is being written by Jonathan Tropper for Amazon MGM Studios and AGBO.

Deadline notes that, “The film is inspired by an actual FBI sting in which agents posed as a couple to infiltrate global criminal enterprises. It culminated in a staged wedding in New Jersey. When the crime bosses checked in for their table assignments, they were arrested and dragged away so as not to tip off the next suspect.”

The film will be produced by AGBO principals Joe and Anthony Russo, along with Angela Russo-Otstot and Michael Disco. AGBO brought the package to Amazon MGM, its partner on a second season of Citadel and the upcoming feature The Bluff. Also producing are Hathaway through her Somewhere Pictures banner and Bautista through his Dogbone Entertainment banner.
