Announced during Sony’s CES 2025 press conference, a film adaptation of Helldivers 2 is on the way. The film will be a collaboration between Sony Productions and Sony Pictures.

PlayStation Productions head Asad Qizilbas made the announcement, stating: “Looking ahead as to what might come next, I’m excited to announce we are working with Sony Pictures on developing a film adaptation of our amazingly popular PlayStation game Helldivers 2.”

Helldivers 2 is the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game of all time, having sold 12 million copies in just 12 weeks across the PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. Helldivers 2 also earned Best Multiplayer Game and Best Ongoing Game at The Game Awards 2024.
