The live-action adaptation of the video game, Home Sweet Home: Rebirth, has been acquired by Vertical, Deadline reports today. A first-look image of the film also was shared, which you can check out above.
The film is based on the survival thriller video game Home Sweet Home by Thai gaming company YGGDrazil.
Home Sweet Home Rebirth “follows Jake (Moseley), a cop thrust into an alternate realm called “The Hindrance” during a deadly mall shooting. With the help of a mysterious Novice Monk (Lee), Jake must race the clock to save his wife, Prang (Sperbund), and stop an evil occultist, Mek (Morrone), from opening the Gates of Hell.”
From directors Alexander Kiesl and Steffen Hacker, it stars Michele Morrone (365 Days), William Moseley (The Chronicles of Narnia saga), Thai-Norwegian actress Yaya Urassaya Sperbund (Brother of the Year), and K-Pop/K-Drama star Alexander Lee (Moorin School: Saga of the Brave).
It is set to release in April.
