Filmax has secured international rights to The Hanged Woman, per Variety.

The latest film from director Miguel Ángel Lamata, adapts the thriller novel by Mayte Navales.

Promising to be a mix classic and modern horror, it will draw inspiration from films such as The Sixth Sense and The Hand that Rocks the Cradle. It follows a, “woman who takes her own life in the garden of her former lover, to then later haunt him and his family as a ghost. “

It stars Eduardo Noriega, Amaia Salamanca, Norma Ruiz and Cosette Silguero.
