Matthew Modine (Stranger Things) to join the cast of the next theatrical feature film in Legendary’s Monsterverse franchise from director Grant Sputore.

Modine joins Dan Stevens, who is reprising his role as Trapper, Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell and Delroy Lindo. 

The sequel to Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire “is described as a continuation of the franchise centering Godzilla, Kong and an assortment of other Titans.”

Grant Sputore (I Am Mother) is directing the upcoming film. Dave Callaham (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse) penned the script.
