During the Silent Hill Transmission, Konami announced that the NeoBards Entertainment-developed Silent Hill f will be coming to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The discussion featured Silent Hill series producer Motoi Okamoto, Silent Hill f scriptwriter Ryukishi07, and longtime Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoaka
The story takes place in 1960s Japan, where protagonist Shimizu Hinako’s secluded town of Ebisugaoka is consumed by a sudden fog, transforming her home into a haunting nightmare. As the town falls silent and the fog thickens, Hinako must navigate the twisted paths of Ebisugaoka, solving complex puzzles and confronting grotesque monsters to survive.
Silent Hill f will retain the series’ core elements of psychological horror, but with a focus on “[finding] the beauty in terror”, according to Motoi. “Regardless of its new setting in Japan, this is without a doubt a Silent Hill game. Silent Hill f‘s mixture of beautiful and terrifying visuals gives new life to Silent Hill as a Japanese-style horror game.”
