Luca Guadagnino‘s Sgt. Rock is looking to add Colin Farrell (The Penguin), who takes over from Daniel Craig.

Deadline reports that Farrell wants to play the role, as long as it can meet his busy schedule.

Although it is a DC character, the film is separate from the Farrell’s role as Penguin.

Farrell will play Sgt. Franklin John Rock in the World War II-set movie. Created by Robert Kanigher and Joe Kubert, the character first debuted in the 1959 DC issue Our Army at War. Sgt. Franklin received his own comic book series in 1977, with it running until 1988.

The film marks a reteaming of Guadagnino with his Challengers and Queer scribe Justin Kuritzkes.
