Julia Max’s horror movie The Surrender, has been picked up for release by genre streaming service Shudder, Deadline reports today.

The Surrender is set to debut on Shudder in North America, UK/Ireland and Australia/New Zealand on May 23.

It stars Colby Minifie (The Boys) and Kate Burton (Grey’s Anatomy) as a prickly daughter and mother duo dealing with the loss of a patriarch, and their fraught relationship gets tested further when mom hires an occultist to resurrect her husband from the dead. 

Neil Sandilands (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Sweet Tooth) also stars.
