A sizzle reel for the new I Know What You Did Last Summer was shared during Sony’s CinemaCon presentation.
Deadline offers a description of the reel:
Reel opens with Cline and her hot brunette hunk in a posh home. She goes to take a bath, but is that rose tint in the water? No! It’s blood! She puts on her headphones listening to a peaceful meditation. Meantime, the hunk gets stabbed with a metal arrow that pulls him. It’s the original hook killer before the Scream guy. Amid hooking and blood, and the realization that it’s not the first time that there’s been violence in Southport and Wonders exclaiming “something is coming after us,” there’s a shot of Hewitt who exclaims, “I have one question for you: Do you know what you did last summer?”
The logline: When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.
