Finnish developer MiTale is proud to announce that Willow Guard is now available on PC via Steam and itch.io. In the studio’s latest narrative-driven RPG, players will step into the role of Ghweros, one of the last remaining Willowguards, and embark on a journey to protect their fellow animals from the attacks of ferocious hordes of monsters.

As a Willowguard, you are sworn to protect the Willows, the Sacred Trees that give the animals their souls. After receiving a distress call, you discover that Louksna, the fallen Goddess of The Moon has unleashed her monster hordes. The Willows are in danger, as are your fellow animals throughout the Kingdom of Tersa. Bound by your creed to help, you set out to fight the monsters and try to restore peace, all while hoping to learn more about Louksna’s intentions. 

Lonesome creatures, Willowguards are trained to rely on their weapons to survive. But in times of crisis, your blade alone will only take you so far. Explore the world around you, investigate clues, collect materials and use them to craft powerful upgrades. Tackle your opponents head on in melee combat or rely on magic, subterfuge, and long-range weapons to dispose of the monsters from afar. By mixing hack-and-slash and deckbuilding elements, Willow Guard’s unique combat system gives you full control of your combat strategy. 

But remember: the land is only as valuable as its people. Outside of combat, you’ll meet an eclectic cast of animal characters. Interact with Tersa’s inhabitants, build friendships, and let your newfound allies aid your quest. Choose your answers wisely, as Ghweros grows into a complex, polyhedral character around four distinct philosophies.
