Shudder has released an official trailer for Julia Max’s horror movie The Surrender.

The film stars Colby Minifie (The Boys) and Kate Burton (Grey’s Anatomy) as a prickly daughter and mother duo dealing with the loss of a patriarch, and their fraught relationship gets tested further when mom hires an occultist to resurrect her husband from the dead. 

Neil Sandilands (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, “Sweet Tooth”), Vaughn Armstrong, Mia Ellis, Pete Ploszek, Chelsea Alden, Alaina Pollack, Riley Rose Critchlow, and Lola Prince Kelly also star.

The Surrender is set to debut on Shudder in North America, UK/Ireland and Australia/New Zealand on May 23.
