Rosario director Felipe Vargas has set his next directing project with, The Mouth of the Furnace.

It is based on Latin American folklore and described as a “horror-fantasy epic.”

The film will shoot in the Dominican Republic this coming Fall.

Sterlyn Ramirez is on board to produce The Mouth of the Furnace.

Vargas’ feature Rosario releases in select theaters on May 2. Emeraude Toubia (“Shadowhunters”) and David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil) star in the supernatural horror film.
