Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will play a motivational guru Breakthrough for A24.

The psychological thriller is written by Zeke Goodman.

Set in turn-of-the-millennium Southern California, the story follows an alienated young man who comes under the influence of a motivational guru, whose intoxicating charm masks his morally questionable methods of manipulation and his own concealed darkness.

A24 will produce alongside Johnson and Dany Garcia’s Seven Bucks Productions (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Rampage) and Stacey Sher’s Shiny Penny Productions (Heretic), with Jacob Epstein and Justin Wolf executive producing via Lighthouse Management & Media.
