Josh Hartnett is set to star in an untitled Netflix limited series created by Jesse McKeown (The Umbrella Academy).

Hartnett will play a hard-bitten fisherman must fight to protect his family, his community, and his vanishing way of life when a mysterious sea creature terrorizes his remote Newfoundland town.

Jamie Childs (The Sandman), Helen Shaver (Vikings), and Stephen Dunn (Queer as Folk) serve as directors on the series.

The writing team includes Karen Walton (Ginger Snaps), Perry Chafe (Frontier), and Natty Zavitz.

McKeown serves as showrunner in addition to executive producing alongside Hartnett, Childs, Jessica Rhoades (Black Mirror), Louise Sutton (Black Mirror), Chris Hatcher (Shadowhunters), and Sharon Hall (The Expanse).
