Turkish game studio, Elyzio, just unveiled Pera Coda, an isometric narrative mystery adventure set in the twisting streets of Istanbul’s historic Pera neighborhood. Blending the psychological depth of Disco Elysium, the exploration-driven mystery of Outer Wilds, and the looping puzzle mechanics of 12 MinutesPera Coda promises a haunting, emotionally charged journey through a surreal version of Istanbul, with visual and thematic undertones of neo-noir storytelling. The reveal trailer confirms the title is coming to Steam.

PERA CODA is not just a mystery, it’s an existential trial. Players assume the role of Deniz, an attorney trapped in a subconscious state between life and death, as he becomes the judge and defendant in the reckoning of his own soul. In gameplay, players interact with a deeply psychological story through impactful dialogue choices and layered environmental puzzles. As the game unfolds, they confront Deniz’s traumatic memories to uncover hidden truths, solving intricate mysteries as they explore an evolving world. Ideal for audiences seeking mature, narrative-rich storytelling, this unique experience is accessible, universal, and emotionally resonant for global players.

“This is both a love letter to our city and a universal human story about guilt, regret, and the search for peace,” said Ahmet Kazanci, Pera Coda’s Art Director. He explained the game is “rooted in a surreal reimagining of Istanbul, real locations, rich with local nuance and emotional texture that are rarely seen in games. Istanbul becomes both a stage and a mirror, where East meets West, chaos meets calm, and each district reflects a piece of your fragmented self.”
