14th century ghost story film, The Face of Horror, has added Ben Radcliffe (Masters of the Air), who will play a character named Roger.
Radcliffe joins Jonah Hauer-King (I Know What You Did Last Summer), Kristine Froseth (The Buccaneers), Ellie Bamber (Nocturnal Animals), Leo Suter (Vikings: Valhalla) and Bella Heathcote (Pieces of Her).
Anna Biller (The Love Witch) is the director.
Loosely inspired by the Japanese ghost story Yotsuya Kaidan, The Face of Horror follows Edward Carnifex (Hauer-King), who marries his long time love Eleanor (Froseth), only to get bored of her and instead court a wealthy noblewoman (Heathcote). But it is only a matter of time before Eleanor will be forced to take a bloody revenge. Bamber plays Eleanor’s sister Beatrice, and Suter is Edward’s squire and Beatrice’s suitor Richard.
Deadline first reported on Radcliffe’s casting.
