A first look image at Steven Soderbergh‘s The Christophers has been released.
In the film, “The children of a once famous artist (Ian McKellen) hire a forger (Michaela Coel) to complete some unfinished, long ago abandoned canvases so they’ll have an inheritance when he dies.”
Soderbergh directs from a script by Ed Solomon. Starring Michaela Coel, Ian McKellen, Jessica Gunning and James Corden.
From Department M, Butler & Sklar Productions, it is executive produced by Michael Schaefer, Mike Larocca and Corey Bayes. Producers are Jim Parks and Iain A. Canning. The film’s cinematographer is Peter Andrews and editor is Mary Ann Bernard.
Steven Soderbergh is a writer, director, producer, cinematographer, and editor. The Christophers is his 39th feature and his fourth collaboration with screenwriter Ed Solomon. Soderbergh’s most recent of many visits to TIFF was for last year’s screening of his horror film, Presence, released by NEON in January of this year.
The Christophers will have its world premiere at TIFF.
