A24 has released the trailer for the English-language version of Chinese blockbuster animation Ne Zha 2, which features a voice cast led by Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh.

Ne Zha 2 was written and directed by filmmaker Yang Yu. The film made history as it is the highest-grossing animated film of all time, the highest-grossing non-English language film ever, and ranks as the fifth highest-grossing film overall. 

The movie follows the adventures of rebellious young boy, Ne Zha, who is feared by the gods having been born to mortal parents with wild, uncontrolled powers. Faced with an ancient force intent on destroying humanity, he must grow up to become the hero the world needs.

It will release in theaters across the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand from August 22, and be presented in IMAX, 3D, and other premium large formats.
