Wired Productions and developer Camel 101 today confirmed that Beneath, the intense first-person Lovecraftian horror shooter is officially coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, delivering classic gunplay with creepy atmospheric gameplay and heart-pounding horror set deep below the ocean’s surface.
But you don’t have to wait to experience the terror, a brand-new PC demo is out now on Steam, giving players a limited-time chance to step into the diving suit and face the horrors that lurk in the deep. The demo is available until August 4th.
Beneath promises a Lovecraftian voyage into first-person survival horror, blending pulse-pounding action, psychological tension, and atmospheric storytelling into an unforgettable experience. Follow seasoned diver Noah Quinn as his routine expedition spirals into chaos, trapping him deep beneath the ocean’s surface alongside an ancient malevolence. With supplies dwindling and nightmarish creatures closing in, Noah must confront grotesque mutations, encroaching madness, and a sinister conspiracy that threatens humanity itself.
Built with console players in mind, Beneath takes full advantage of the latest hardware. On PlayStation 5, expect immersive haptic feedback, adaptive trigger support, and enhanced visuals using PSSR on PS5 Pro. The team is targeting 4K at 60fps, delivering a fluid and terrifyingly beautiful experience across current-gen platforms.
