Anna Faris and Regina Hall are confirmed to return for the Scary Movie reboot.

The franchise was developed by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans and Keenen Ivory Wayans.

Anna Faris and Regina Hall said in a joint statement this afternoon, “We can’t wait to bring Brenda and Cindy back to life and be reunited with our great friends Keenen, Shawn and Marlon—three men we’d literally die for (in Brenda’s case, again.)”

Michael Tiddes is directing the franchise’s upcoming sixth installment, with Rick Alvarez writing and producing alongside the Wayans brothers.

Scary Movie will release on June 12, 2026.
