Indie developer Silent Forest Games has announced that Prop Haunt, the 4v1 psychological horror multiplayer game of supernatural hide-and-seek, will launch on PC via Steam Early Access on August 29, 2025. Players can wishlist now to prepare for the paranormal showdown.

In Prop Haunt, four mischievous ghosts haunt everyday objects to expand their influence in the physical world, while one lone investigator races to uncover and report the hauntings before they spiral out of control. The ghosts can teleport between rooms, possess props, and unleash terrifying tricks, while the investigator uses cameras, gadgets, and sharp observation to root them out.

As a Ghost, your goal is to haunt as many objects as possible, gain energy, and unleash powers like blackouts, slowdowns, and jump scares. Destroy enough rooms and the investigator won’t stand a chance.

As the Investigator, you’ll scan for supernatural activity using cameras, zap haunts to disrupt ghosts, and survive the night without being driven mad.

For the Early Access launch, Prop Haunt will launch with:

• 2 distinct maps packed with hiding spots and haunting opportunities

Silent Forest Games will work closely with the community to evolve Prop Haunt during the Early Access development journey, with upcoming features including more maps, additional Ghost powers and Investigator tools, procedural prop generation for endless replayability and leaderboards and more!
