Nicolas Cage is in talks to star in Season 5 of True Detective.

Nicolas Cage is “nearing a deal” to star in the upcoming True Detective Season 5, which is again being helmed by Night Country creator Issa López.

The new season is set in Jamaica Bay, New York and is expected sometime in 2027. The new season is also rumored to have three leads, two male and one female.
