Lucasfilm’s Ryan Gosling-starring Star Wars: Starfighter has officially added Flynn Gray, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings and Amy Adams.

The film is directed by Shawn Levy and written by Jonathan Tropper.

Set five years after The Rise of Skywalker (2019), the new installment is set to go into production this fall and premiere May 28, 2027, exclusively in theaters.

Gosling called the project “a great story with great and original characters,” as well as “so much heart and adventure,” adding: “There is not a more perfect filmmaker for this particular story than Shawn.

Levy produces with Kennedy. Executive producers are Gosling, Dan Levine, Mary McLaglen and Josh McLaglen.
