Sony Pictures has officially titled Aaron Sorkin’s The Social Network sequel, The Social Reckoning.

The official cast has also been announced, with Oscar nominee Jeremy Strong playing Mark Zuckerberg; Oscar winner Mikey Madison portraying whistleblower Frances Haugen, and Golden Globe and Emmy winner Jeremy Allen White portraying Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horowitz, who broke a series of articles known as The Facebook Files. Bill Burr (Old Dads, The King of Staten Island) is also starring.

Todd Black, Peter Rice, Sorkin and Stuart Besser are producing. 

The Social Network was directed by David Fincher and written by Aaron Sorkin, based on the 2009 book The Accidental Billionaires by Ben Mezrich. It portrays the founding of Facebook. It stars Jesse Eisenberg as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, with Andrew Garfield as Eduardo Saverin, Justin Timberlake as Sean Parker, Armie Hammer as Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and Max Minghella as Divya Narendra. The film was a success both commercially and critically, grossing over $224 million and garnering several Academy Award nominations, one of which Sorkin won for Best Adapted Screenplay.

The film will release October 9, 2026.
