The trailer for the controversial film, F*** My Son! has been released. Check it out below.

Here’s the synopsis:

An X-Rated descent into demented comedy and maniacal horror, as a desperate mother drags an innocent stranger into an absurd, filthy nightmare beyond comprehension. An unflinchingly loyal adaptation of transgressive artist Johnny Ryan’s joyfully disgusting comic book. Adults only.

As announced in Variety on Wednesday, Fuck My Son! is launching a theatrical-only run starting at New York City’s IFC Center on Thursday October 16th and will be screening in different cities every single weekend into 2026!

Fuck My Son! is being released via a new model—a filmmaker-led collective that combines the independence of DIY cinema with the reach of industry expertise. The release is being managed by a partnership of the filmmakers, an experienced theatrical booker, and a former studio executive. This cooperative structure allows the filmmakers to retain full creative and monetary ownership of their movie while drawing on the resources, strategy, and connections usually reserved for studio-backed releases. The goal is simple: to prove that bold, independent films can thrive in theaters without surrendering their rights or creative vision.

Says Todd Rohal, the film’s Writer, Director, Producer, Editor, Post-Supervisor, VFX Artist, Accountant and Mixing Assistant: “Rather than waiting for anybody to tell us ‘no’ we went ahead and said ‘yes’ by making and booking this film ourselves. At a time when streaming companies shrug off the theatrical experience, we made a movie that is meant to be seen in a theater alongside friends and strangers, where you are encouraged to shout at the screen, laugh and scream out loud and puke into your popcorn bucket. Please buy a ticket, use a fake ID, bring friends that hate this kind of stuff and experience a movie with a high risk potential of strengthening or destroying your current relationships. This movie is a love letter to the human excretory system. It beckons to you with its alluring siren song. Answer the call!”

The collective consists of RohalTommy Lucente (Media & Entertainment Exec, ex-Vice/Fox/Disney), James Belfer(Producer/Distributor, Cartuna), Gavin Briscoe (Booker/Distributor, Cartuna), and Michael Tully (Publicist, writer/director of SeptienPing-Pong SummerDon’t Leave Home).

Many of these screenings will be on 35mm with the continued commitment to keep the film screening exclusively in theaters throughout 2026 and beyond.
