Focus Features has released the official trailer for Hamnet, the newest film starring from director Chloé Zhao.

The film tells the powerful story of love and loss that inspired the creation of Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece, Hamlet.

Zhao directs from a script she wrote with Maggie O’Farrell. Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal, Emily Watson and Joe Alwyn star.

Hamnet had its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival and it then screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it won the People’s Choice Award. It next plays at several regional film festivals en route to Focus releasing it in select theaters on November 27 and then wide on December 12.
