Obsession has been picked up by Focus Features for worldwide distribution after a succesful festival run. The film will now be premiering in 2026 to horrify fan world wide. The announcement came today as part of the final announcement for the upcoming Focus Fest this weekend.

Focus Features has acquired the worldwide rights to OBSESSION, Curry Barker’s debut horror film, which premiered in the midnight section of the Toronto International Film Festival.

The film, set to be released in 2026, will be screened Saturday, October 18 — only at FocusFest!

We had the opportunity to watch the new film from Curry Barker last month at Toronto International Film Festival. It truly was one of the most visceral and haunting film we’ve seen. You can check out our review for the film here and definitely put it at the top of your list for 2026.
