Emmy-winner Claire Foy is set to join Jack O’Connell and Guy Pearce in Ink, a Studiocanal, Media Res and House Productions film.

The film is centered on the rise of the Rupert Murdoch empire.

Pearce will play Murdoch, O’Connell will play Larry Lamb, who Murdoch hired to run The Sun when he purchased it in 1969 and Foy will play an ambitious editor who joins the Sun and works closely with Lamb.

Danny Boyle is directing. The film is based on the Tony-nominated play by multi-Olivier award-winning playwright and screenwriter James Graham, who also wrote the script.

Boyle produces with Tessa Ross and Michael Ellenberg.

Studiocanal is launching worldwide sales at AFM and will co-represent domestic sales with WME Independent.

Deadline first reported on the casting.
