Paramount Pictures & Walter Hamada‘s 18hz are developing Andrew Duplessie’s horror short, The Littles into a feature.

The short follows 11-year-old Juliet (Violet McGraw), who in stubbing her toe on a loose floorboard, unwittingly sets off a series of mysterious events. As she investigates, Juliet finds herself pulled into a chilling, otherworldly encounter — one that will unravel the secrets of her home and alter her reality forever.

The short also stars Janel Parrish (Pretty Little Liars), and Dominic Sherwood (Shadowhunters).

In a statement to Deadline, Duplessie said, “I’m thrilled to be partnering with 18hz to bring the Littles to life as a feature. Walter and Nick are true horror aficionados who immediately saw the potential and vision of the project. I’ve always loved the art of stop motion especially when it’s combined with horror, and the response to this short has been truly inspiring. I can’t wait to work with 18hz to expand this universe and show the rest of the world what lurks beneath their floorboards.”
