Sidekick Publishing and developer Pixelsplit have unveiled the latest content updates to hit Early Access zombie-bullet heaven-roguelite, Deadly Days: Roadtrip.
Since launching on Steam in Early Access on September 22, Deadly Days: Roadtripclocked up over 100,000 players in its first week of release with an impressive peak concurrent player count of 7,500.
The new content update corresponds with Bullet Heaven Fest 3.0, the highly anticipated return of the festival celebrating all bullet heaven and survivor-like games. Sidekick Publishing is proud to co-host this year’s festival, run by Human Qube Games and Erabit, alongside Awesome Games Studio and Gamersky. The festival, running on Steam right now until December 11 (December 4-11 from 10am PT / 6pm GMT / 7pm CET), will feature games from over 450 developers and an unprecedented lineup of games with discounts of up to 80%.
As part of the festival, Deadly Days: Roadtrip is on sale for the first time since launch at 35% off for $9.75 / €7.95.
Deadly Days: Roadtrip update content includes:
- New Content
- Christmas decorations
- Alarm Tower intermezzo event
- Unlocked when reaching threat level 100 (you will get a threat level achievement).
- Santa Character
- The Santa character can be unlocked by defeating the boss in the new snow biome, set as the first run boss by default with the new update for the festive season.
- The Santa character comes with 3 new items, including: “Santa’s present” character item and two support items, “Small present” and “Long present”.
- On Map Events
- New main map events highlighted by a “!” map icon. Map Events now include:
- Long & Short Day
- Early Reaper
- Increased chance for items with certain tags
- Increased chance for specific items
- Pizzeria
- Double exp but low loot
- Loot goblin appearance
- Shady Merchant*
- New main map events highlighted by a “!” map icon. Map Events now include:
*The Shady Merchant has to first be unlocked in the workbench. He comes with 3 more new items, which can only be attained from him: Rotten heart item, Syringe item, Hand of blood item
