Sigourney Weaver is in talks to join Amazon Prime Video’s Tomb Raider series.

“It is unknown who Weaver would play,” Deadline notes.

Sophie Turner (“Game of Thrones”) will play Lara Croft in the Prime Video series. Lara Croft has been played on the screen by both Angelina Jolie and more recently Alicia Vikander.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Fleabag”) is developing and writing the upcoming series.

Waller-Bridge will show-run with Jonathan Van Tulleken and Chad Hodge.

“If I could tell my teenage self this was happening I think she’d explode. Tomb Raider has been a huge part of my life and I feel incredibly privileged to be bringing it to television with such passionate collaborators. Lara Croft means a lot to me, as she does to many, and I can’t wait to go on this adventure. Bats ‘n all,” Waller-Bridge said in a statement.

Waller-Bridge will executive produce alongside Ryan Andolina and Amanda Greenblatt.
