Netflix has announced that BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai will premiere February 26.

Based on Keisuke Itagaki’s “BAKI-DOU,” which was published in Weekly Shonen Champion from 2014 to 2018, this new series picks up after the biggest father-son fight on earth. With no worthy opponents left, Baki and the other battle-hardened fighters grow miserably bored — until a plan is enacted to resurrect Musashi Miyamoto, the greatest swordsman in Japanese history. The unprecedented clash between a legendary samurai revived in the modern times and the strongest underground fighter will be brought to life with stunning animation.

Produced by TMS ENTERTAINMENT, the studio behind Baki and Baki Hanma, this unpredictable battle between two fighters from entirely different eras is about to unfold. It is directed by Toshiki Hirano.

The cast includes Nobunaga Shimazaki (Baki Hanma), Akio Otsuka (Yujiro Hanma), Naoya Uchida (Musashi Miyamoto),  Rikiya Koyama (Sea King Retsu), Takuya Eguchi (Kaoru Hanayama), Takayuki Sugo (Doppo Orochi),  Yoshihisa Kawahara (Katsumi Orochi), Bin Shimada (Goki Shibukawa), Kenta Miyake (Jack Hammer), Tetsuo Kanao (Jack Horner), Jin Domon (Hitoshi Nonomura), Kenichi Ogata (Sea Emperor Kaku), Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Chiharu Shiba), Ken Narita (Kureha Shinogi), Ayumu Murase (Gaia) and Toru Furuya (Narration).
