Billy ZaneDanielle Bisutti, and Henry Ian Cusick are starring in the western horror comedy Blood Rush.

Set in 1881 during the American Western Frontier gold rush, the story follows Lucifer’s children, Lilith and Aamon, the original vampires who fly to the Americas to suck the living hope out of the common folk’s blood that’s been revived by the promise of the American Dream.

But plans to restore their Vampiric reign are thwarted when an old familiar shows up, threatening to reveal their true nature if only his complicated feelings for the vamps don’t bloody the waters.

Zane stars in the role of Aamon opposite Cusick, who is Van Helsing, and Bisutti as Lilith.

Bisutti makes her feature directorial debut on the film alongside co-director Stefan Colson(Lookout). Bisutti conceived the idea and developed the story with Colson before penning the script.

William McNamara (Opera), Christina Moore (“That ’70s Show”), Colin Cunningham (“Falling Skies”), Ken Davitian (Borat), and Robert Craighead (“Future Man”) round out the cast.

Bisutti and Colson are producing via their respective companies, Perfect Timing Productions and BoatShoes Entertainment, along with Mike Hatton with Ton of Hats.

Deadline first reported on the film.
