Electric Monk Media has announced that its cinematic action platformer Strange Brew will launch on Steam on February 18th. Play as Joe the Duck, a jittery duck mascot with a severe coffee addiction, evading swarming hordes of zombies and navigating post-apocalyptic chaos.
As the mascot for MoonDucks Coffee, the corporation that owns the town, Joe the Duck faces the consequences of a disastrous test batch of pumpkin spice that has turned the population undead. Environmental hazards such as electrical shocks, collapsing structures, road vehicles, and an out-of-control wrecking ball can be used creatively to turn the tide against the relentless zombie onslaught.
Mixing high-octane 3D platforming with the dread and momentum of a classic zombie thriller, Strange Brew hurls you into frantic chase sequences, perilous stunts, and over-the-top horror set pieces. Take cover in a pulsing warehouse rave, fight for balance atop a runaway monorail, cause a nuclear meltdown, and try to stay afloat during catastrophic flooding. Use instincts and improvised tools to survive a long night with far too little coffee.
For fans of classic horror cinema, the game includes a special black-and-white “1968 Living Dead Mode” that evokes the look and feel of a vintage late-night horror broadcast.
