David F. Sandberg (Shazam!, Until Dawn) is directing the horror film A Little Slice of Hell for Paramount Pictures.

The film is based on a short story of the same name by John Goodrich.

Plot details for the feature are under wraps.

Goodrich’s story was published in the first issue of Assemble Artifacts and follows two underpaid supermarket employees who realize that they should have read the employee manual after encountering a customer from Hell — literally.

Greg Weidman and Geoff Tock are writing the script based off Goodrich’s short story and a previous draft of the script by Emily V. Gordon.

Johnny Pariseau, Patrick Gooing and Molly Milstein will produce for Maximum Effort, alongside Jack Heller, Caitlin de Lisser-Ellen for Assemble, and Lotta Losten.

Deadline first reported on the film.
