Independent Film Company has secured the U.S. rights to road-trip comedy The Shitheads.

Dave Franco and O’Shea Jackson Jr. lead a cast also including Kiernan Shipka, Nicholas Braun, Peter Dinklage and Mason Thames.

It follows two unqualified bozos (Franco and Jackson Jr. ) who are hired to transfer a rich teen (Thames) to rehab when their straightforward gig quickly spirals into dangerous mayhem.

The film is written, directed, and produced by Macon Blair (The Toxic Avenger).

It was produced by Alex Orr, Brandon James, Nathan Klingher, Ford Corbett, Joshua Harris, Mark Fasano, Macon Blair, and Dave Franco.

Executive producers are O’Shea Jackson Jr., Jatin Desai, Greg Freidman, Danny McBride, Jody Hill, David Gordon Green, Jeremy Saulnier, David Gendron, Ali Jazayeri, Thomas Mann. 

IFC will release the film theatrically this summer.
