After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings.
Maisy Stella (My Old Ass) and Christian Convery (“Sweet Tooth”) also star, along with Chris Coy (“The Peripheral”), P.J. Byrne (The Wolf of Wall Street), and Jordan Alexa Davis (“Defending Jacob”).
The crew includes director of photography Michael Gioulakis (It Follows, Split), production designer Maya Shimoguchi (“Hawkeye,” Werewolf by Night), costume designer Erin Benach (Drive, Birds of Prey), editor John Axelrad (Ad Astra, Slither), and composer Michael Giacchino (The Batman, Jurassic World).
J.J. Abrams and Hannah Minghella produce via Bad Robot, alongside David Robert Mitchell, Matt Jackson for Jackson Pictures, and Tommy Harper. Executive producers include Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Joanne Lee, and Leeann Stonebreaker.
The film opens in theaters and IMAX on August 14 via Warner Bros.
