Marvel’s panel at San Diego’s Comic-Con has revealed what is in store for Marvel’s animated series.

The panel began with The Watcher from What If…? welcoming attendees to the event. Marvel’s head of streaming, television and animation Brad Winderbaum and head of visual development Ryan Meinerding were there to discuss what is in store for animation at Marvel Studios. Along with Meinerding and Winderbaum, the rest of the animation creative teams came out.

During the panel, a trailer for I Am Groot was shown, along with an episode from the series. I Am Groot will be available for streaming on Disney+ August 10, 2022. Along with I Am Groot, Spider-Man: Freshman Year was discussed. Images of various Spider-Man costumes were shown. Spider-Man: Freshman Year will release in 2022.

A preview of What If…? Season 2 was shown. It will release early 2023. During this time, there was also confirmation of a third season of What If…? 2023 will also see the release of X-Men ’97. Early animation of X-Men ’97 was shown. To close the panel, a full episode of What If…? Season 2 was shown titled, “What If Captain Carter Fought the Hydra Stomper.”
