‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ to Be Directed by ‘Shang-Chi’ Filmmaker

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is one of two movies that will complete Marvel’s Studios Phase 6 of films.

During San Diego’s Comic-Con, Marvel’s Kevin Feige confirmed that the Avengers will assemble once again for two movies in 2025. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a director has been chosen for one of the two Avengers films.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Dustin Daniel Cretton, who directed Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will be directing Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Following the success of Shang-Chi, which grossed $432 million worldwide, Cretton has an overall deal with Marvel, which also includes a Shang-Chi sequel.

At the moment, it has not been revealed who will be writing The Kang Dynasty, or even who will star (besides the actor for Kang the Conqueror, Jonathan Majors) in the film. During Comic-Con, Feige laid out a timeline that shows Avengers: The Kang Dystany will release May 2, 2025.
