Will we finally get to visit Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza?
The creator of the original Five Nights at Freddy’s videogame, Scott Cawthon, has been trying to get an adaption of the game since 2015. Blumhouse Productions confirmed its plans for a Five Nights at Freddy’s film back in 2017. However, updates on the film adaptation have taken several years.
Fans of the horror videogames have been skeptical about whether the film adaptation will ever reach fruition. However, Jason Blum, the founder and CEO of Blumhouse Productions, tweeted a possible Five Nights at Freddy’s update today. In the tweet he says, “It’s great to be working with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Their experience and expertise with animatronics is absolutely killer!” The text also included a picture of an employee working.
Jim Henson’s Creature Shop specializes in special and visual effects and was founded by Jim Henson, creator of The Muppets. While looking at the picture of the employee at work, it looks as if they are in the process of making a Freddy Fazbear figure. The figure is wearing a bow and holding a microphone, just like Freddy does.
Hopefully we will see a completed version of Freddy soon!
