The third installment in the Don’t Breathe film franchise has been confirmed to be in development.

No plot details have been shared, but it will most likely continue to follow The Blind Man.

Released in 2016, Don’t Breathe received high praise and was a major success at the box office. Directed by Fede Álvarez (Evil Dead 2013) and produced by horror icon Sam Raimi. The home invasion thriller was followed by Don’t Breathe 2 in 2021.

Both films centered on the villain, The Blind Man, played by Stephen Lang. The first installment followed The Blind Man violently hunting and killing would-be robbers who have broken into his home. As the story unfolds, secrets of his dark past are revealed.

The sequel centers on The Blind Man raising a young girl. When she is kidnapped, he goes on a violent rampage to get her back. The contrast of The Blind Man turning from villain to somewhat hero baffled fans.

It will be interesting to see how the iconic character will be presented in the third installment.
