‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Footage Description D23

Disney’s D23 Expo was this past weekend, and a lot of footage and news was unveiled, including new footage for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The footage is not available to the public, but we do have a description.

Black Panther Wakanda Forever

The first part is what looks like a full sequence from the film, wherein Queen Ramonda of Wakanda is called to the UN to answer a lot of questions about vibranium and its dangers. She points out that they do not sell or trade vibranium with anyone, not because vibranium is dangerous, but because other countries are dangerous. This tense exchange is intercut with a group of mercenaries breaking into a Wakandan outreach center in Mali and demanding to be taken to the vibranium weaponry. When they unlock the vault, out steps the Dora Milaje, led by Okoye. All of the scientists in the center are Dora Milaje as well, and they just absolutely wreck the mercs. Back in the UN, the Dora Milaje enter with all of the mercs in shackles. The trailer itself then starts, which is more or less what’s already been revealed but it includes more shots of Namor and Attuma.

The film is directed by Ryan Coogler, and stars Tenoch Huerta, Leticia Wright, and Angelea Bassett. Other cast members include Dominique Thorne, Daniel Kaluuya, Lupita Nyong’o, and Martin Freeman. It is the sequel to 2018’s Black Panther.

In the wake of King T’Challa’s (Chadwick Boseman) death, Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with Nakia and Everett Ross to forge a new path for their beloved kingdom.
