Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

Culture Elixir had the chance to visit Universal Studios Hollywood for Halloween Horror Nights and it was awesome!

Killer Klowns From Outer Space

There was so much to check out and several amazing houses and a tram including:

  • Terror Tram
  • The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare
  • Halloween
  • The Horrors of Blumhouse
  • Universal Monsters: Legends Collide
  • Killer Klowns From Outer Space
  • La Llorona: The Weeping Woman
  • Scarecrow: The Reaping
  • Universal Horror Hotel

We didn’t get the chance to visit everything, but we did check out The Weeknd: After Hours, Halloween, The Horrors of Blumhouse, and Killer Klowns From Outer Space. We also got to see one of the Jabbawockeez shows.

The Weeknd: After Hours

Universal was generous enough to include express passes with our entrances, and if you can, I definitely recommend purchasing them for Horror Nights. The wait times are at minimum an hour, and our passes reduced most of the wait times significantly. The only exception would be for Halloween, which is super popular and has long wait times for both regular and express.

The Weeknd: After Hours

The Weeknd: After Hours

This house was probably my favorite. Even if you aren’t a fan of The Weeknd, I think you would enjoy this house. There was a lot of detail, and plenty of scares. Everything looked super cool and creepy, and of course, you can enjoy The Weeknd’s amazing music!

Halloween

Halloween

Halloween is a must for all horror lovers. This was definitely a favorite as well, and although you’re definitely going to be waiting a while to visit this house, it is worth it. Even though you’ll most likely be with a lot of other people while checking it out, it was still really creepy. I screamed a lot when checking out Halloween.

The Horrors of Blumhouse

The Horrors of Blumhouse

This house featured a combination of Blumhouse films, Freaky and The Black Phone. I really enjoyed both of these movies, so I had a lot of hype and anticipation for this house. Unfortunately, it was my least favorite. The timing was a bit off with scares, so I never felt scared, and I feel like the production was lacking a bit. However, it was still cool to check out.

Killer Klowns is another one you can’t skip. It was so colorful and fun, and watch out, because you may get wet! Even though this one is definitely fun, you will still experience plenty of scares. Don’t forget to check out the themed food that is nearby as well.

Jabbawockeez

Jabbawockeez

Although you may want to focus your attention on visiting the Terror Tram and the various houses, I recommend checking out one of the Jabbawockeez shows. There are several showtimes throughout the night, so you are bound to find a time to check them out. It may seem a bit random, but trust me, it is really fun and entertaining.

The Weeknd: After Hours

In between checking out the houses, you can still ride their regular attractions. With our fast passes, we were able to get through The Mummy and Jurassic super-fast! Also, don’t forget to check out the awesome Halloween Horror Nights merch as well.

Halloween Horror Nights is a must for all horror lovers. There is so much attention to detail throughout each house, and every actor does an awesome job. Even while you walk throughout the park, there is so much to look at and even actors to interact with (or get scared by!)

Thanks again to Universal Studios!
