‘Rush Hour 4’ is in the Works

Jackie Chan made an appearance at the Red Sea Film Festival Thursday. While there, he let fans know that they can expect a fourth installment to the beloved Rush Hour franchise.

“We’re talking about part 4 right now,” he told the festival crowd, adding that he was going to meet with the film’s director this evening to discuss the script.

Chan did not identify the director. Brett Ratner directed the first three films. However, it is very unlikely Ratner will return due to his severed ties from Warner Bros. following sexual misconduct accusations in 2017.

Chan starred in three Rush Hour films between 1998 and 2007 alongside comedian and actor Chris Tucker. The franchise follows a Hong Kong detective inspector who forms an unlikely relationship with a loudmouthed LAPD officer to solve a series of international crimes.
