Jon Bernthal will be reprising his role as Frank Castle/Punisher for the upcoming Disney+ show, Daredevil: Born Again.

He will be joining Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio who are also reprising their roles as Daredevil and Kingpin. Born Again takes its title from a landmark Daredevil storyline published in 1986, written by Frank Miller and drawn by David Mazzuchelli. It will deviate from the comic’s plot, however.

Bernthal first appeared as the Punisher in Netflix’s second season of Daredevil in 2016. Netflix also had a Punisher-centric show titled, The Punisher, which ran for two seasons.

Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson, who played Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, have not been asked to reprise their roles. It is also unclear if they will be recast.

The series begins shooting in New York City this month. It will consist of 18 episodes and is expected to release in the spring of 2024.
