‘Happy Death Day’ Director to Direct ‘Scream 7’

It’s official Scream 7 is currently in development and has found its director. Scream and Scream 6 were directed by Radio Silence but due to a new original horror film they are working on, they have stepped down. The new director for the franchise comes in the form of Christopher Landon. The director is known for movies such as Happy Death Day and Freaky. It’s definitely a change of pace it seems but the possibilities are exciting.

I was excited to learn that we might be getting new director for the franchise. In my opinion, it’s always great to have a new voice behind the camera when it comes to horror franchises. This will surely keep the films fresher and as a fan of Landon I’m excited to see what comes out of this. Of course, with the strikes going on at the moment there’s not much else known.

We will definitely learn soon who will be writing the script as well as what actors will be coming back. Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega of course were the stars of the previous entries but no word on their return yet. In the meantime, check out Christopher Landon’s films to get acquainted with the director.
