Netflix announced this morning that Stranger Things 5 has officially begun production. Netflix shared a behind the scenes image of the assembled cast accompanying the announcement, below.

Stranger Things 5 will be the FINAL season of Netflix‘s hit series. Additionally, Netflix recently announced that Linda Hamilton will star.

Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) is will also direct an episode of Stranger Things 5, The Season 4 finale has set up an explosive finale for the final season as the main conflict comes back to Hawkins. Vecna will return to wreak havoc on the town and it’s going to take all they got to finally stop him.

Stranger Things might be coming to an end, but the universe might just be getting started. The Duffer Brothers tease, “There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things; new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes.”
