Strange Darling starring Kyle Gallner and Willa Fitzgerald has been picked up for U.S. distribution by Magenta Light Studios, as reported by Variety.

“Magenta Light has set an August 23 wide release.”

“We are thrilled to be bringing nationwide theatrical audiences this unique and exceptional film with terrific performances by Willa Fitzgerald and Kyle Gallner. This second feature from talented writer-director JT Mollner is destined to become a cult classic that defies conventional storytelling,” Magenta Light’s Bob Yari told Variety in a statement.

Strange Darling is currently 100% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and was one of our favorites at Fantastic Fest last year. The film is going to be recognized for its unconventional storytelling. The performances are also great but by far one of the standout factors will be the 35mm shot film. It is just gorgeous and was the selling point for me to check it out. I came out completely loving the film and can’t wait to watch it again!
