Movies Coming Out April 2024

April is filled with some exciting releases, including horrors and action-packed movies. Check out below for a brief list of some of April’s releases!

The First Omen, Release Date: April 5, 2024

The First Omen is directed by Arkasha Stevenson and is written by Tim Smith, Stevenson, and Keith Thomas. Starring Nell Tiger Free, Ralph Ineson, and Keith Thomas. “A young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church but encounters a darkness that causes her to question her faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate.”

Monkey Man, Release Date: April 5, 2024

Monkey Man is directed by Dev Patel and is written by Patel, Paul Angunawela, and John Collee. Starring Patel, Sharlto Copley, and Pitobash. “An anonymous young man unleashes a campaign of vengeance against the corrupt leaders who murdered his mother and continue to systemically victimize the poor and powerless.”

Civil War, Release Date: April 12, 2024

Civil War is written and directed by Alex Garland. Starring Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, and Cailee Spaeny. “A journey across a dystopian future America, following a team of military-embedded journalists as they race against time to reach DC before rebel factions descend upon the White House.”

Sasquatch Sunset, Release Date: April 12, 2024

Sasquatch Sunset is directed by David Zellner and Nathan Zellner and is written by David Zellner. Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Riley Keough, and Christophe Zajac-Denek. “A year in the life of a unique family. It captures the daily life of the Sasquatch with a level of detail and rigor that is simply unforgettable.”

Arcadian, Release Date: April 12, 2024

Arcadian is directed by Benjamin Brewer and written by Michael Nilon. Starring Nicolas Cage, Jaeden Martell, and Maxwell Jenkins. “In the near future on a decimated Earth, Paul and his twin sons find tranquility by day but terror by night when ferocious creatures awaken and consume all living souls in their path. When Paul is nearly killed, the boys come up with a desperate plan for survival, using everything their father taught them to keep him alive.”

Abigail, Release Date: April 19, 2024

Abigail is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett and is written by Guy Busick and Stephen Shields. Starring Giancarlo Esposito, Dan Stevens, Melissa Barrera, and Kathryn Newton. “A group of would-be criminals kidnaps the 12-year-old daughter of a powerful underworld figure. Holding her for ransom in an isolated mansion, their plan starts to unravel when they discover their young captive is actually a bloodthirsty vampire.”

Challengers, Release Date: April 26, 2024

Challengers is directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by Justin Kuritzkes. Starring Zendaya, Mike Faist, and Josh O’Connor. “Tashi, a tennis player turned coach, has transformed her husband from a mediocre player into a world-famous grand slam champion. To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a challenger event — close to the lowest level of tournament on the pro tour. Tensions soon run high when he finds himself standing across the net from the once-promising, now burnt-out Patrick, his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend.”

Humane, Release Date: April 26, 2024

Humane is directed by Caitlyn Cronenberg and is written by Michael Sparaga. Starring Jay Baruchel, Emily Hampshire, and Peter Gallagher. “In the wake of an environmental collapse that is forcing humanity to shed 20% of its population, a family dinner erupts into chaos when a father’s plan to enlist in the government’s new euthanasia program goes horribly awry.”
