Showtime has announced on X that Yellowjackets Season 3 is officially in production. They shared some new photos that you can check out below.

One of the photos reveals that the Yellowjackets Season 3 premiere was written by Jonathan Lisco, Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, with Nickerson seated in the director’s chair. Lyle and Nickerson are the creators of the show, while Lisco serves as the showrunner.

“Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”

The show’s cast includes Melanie Lynskey (“The Last of Us”), Tawny Cypress (Inez & Doug & Kira), Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers), Christina Ricci (“Wednesday”), Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings), Lauren Ambrose (“Servant”) and Simone Kessell (“Obi-Wan”).
